23.6 x 4.95 x 1.5 metre Motor Yacht

GRT 48.6 DW 115 tonne

Built in 2009 by Methley Bridge Boatyard and on a design by Macduff Ship Design this Motor Yacht is registered on Part 1 of the British Register of Shipping as a Small Commercial Vessel. A MCA Code II for six passengers and four crew to 60 miles from a safe haven. Also an Inland Waterways Boat Safety Certificate.

She has an air draft of 3.5 metres with the Wheelhouse fully closed down and 4.5 metres with Wheelhouse raised and 6 metres with the radar gantry raised. The Wheelhouse topsides, windows and roof structure can be hydraulically housed down around the Wheelhouse base. The radar gantry and funnel can also be lowered within seconds using the same hydraulic system fitted in the Wheelhouse.

The hull construction is round bilge with bulbous bow and round counter stern all in 8mm plate.

Main propulsion is by a Mitsibushi S6B diesel rated at 275kw with 3.74:1 ZF gearbox driving a 42" x 29" 4 blade propeller via a 4" phosphor bronze shaft giving 8 1/2 knt cruising speed

Generator is a Lister 6kva air cooled located in the engine room plus there is also a Honda 2.6kva petrol set in forecastle.

There is an 1500w Sterling Power with 800amp battery pack Inverter.

General Service Pump is a Lister driving 2" Desmi pump valved to the bilge manifold, deck wash and fire hose, It can also be used to self discharge the sewage tank. There are also various submersible mobile pumps.

There are 2 x 500 gallon fuel tanks, 1500 gallon fresh water tank and a 400 gallon black water tank.

There is a 600mm dia 3 bladed Bow Thruster hydraulically driven off the main engine.

Anchor Winch hydraulically driven by the engine room power pack. Main Anchor is 250 lb with 30 fathom of chain cable. A main stern anchor is sited aft and utilises the kedge anchor.

There is a Seago 10 man cannister with hydrostatic release Liferaft.

There is a Crane, a 300kg SWL hydraulic arm aft for launch and recovery of ships boat, a Rib Brig 5 metre centre console commercial rigid inflatable with Honda 50hp outboard, compass and fish finder. This rib has a road trailer.


Heating is via a Grant 60000btu oil fired central heating boiler set to run on gas oil with radiators throughout and Honeywell Y plan system to a 350ltr stainless steel mains pressure hot water cylinder.

Fire control A full fire alarm system is fitted to hotel standards. An engine room dual Co2 manual flooding system is plumbed in from outside of the danger area and several other fire fighting appliances are available around the boat.


Wheelhouse 10ft x 10ft with chart table and night bed comprising; Koden 4kw 3ft open array Radar with 10” monitor. Furuno GPS linked to pilot and radar and chart plotter. Garmin GPS stand alone as back up plus 2 GPS receivers linked to DSC VHF radios.. 1 Midland Neptune, 1 Icom ICM411 (ATIS), 1Mtech MT500 and 1 Icom ICM33 VHF marine radio. Navitron NT921 mkII autopilot with card reader reading a 6” Sestrel compass, recently swung. Chart plotting is by PC with 21” flat screen monitor. A pilot seat in leather, has easy reach of all management systems. The usual horn, navigation lights, deck lights, bilge alarm, life jackets, flares, survival suits, courtesy flags and code flags are housed here.

Accommodation: There is a main deckhouse aft the wheelhouse with fitted kitchen, engine room access, and large dining/living room.
A stairwell leads off the kitchen to a landing below with an Hercules escape hatch over head. Off the landing are a cloakroom W.C., pantry, stairwell to lower deck and a master bedroom with fitted wardrobes and a en-suite bathroom.The lower deck has a corridor with janitor cupboard, service cupboard, shower room W.C., double bedded cabin and double bunk cabin.

The engine room is behind the main bulkhead. Aft of the engine room is a crews quarters with 3 beds and W.C. shower wet room. Access is via a stairwell and hatch in the main living room. In the stern is the steering flat And storage.

The vessel has a forepeak with a thruster compartment right forward, a sundeck/ boatdeck, topsides and a main deck walkway with bulwark and handrail surrounding the boat for safe deck work.
